Bluestone: The Well Spa Resort

DISCLAIMER: I was invited to use the Well Spa resort’s facilities for free for review purposes. This does not affect my opinion in any way. If you haven’t seen my previous Bluestone post, click here!

While I was staying at Bluestone with my blogging gang, we were invited to try out the facilities at the Well Spa Resort. I had only been to one other spa previously and was very excited to see what they had to offer.

We were greeted by the receptionist as we checked in and I was in love with the stalls they had. They had a stand featuring Bomb Cosmetics, and the range of products they use in their massages. I contemplated buying something from the stall, but decided to get some gentle hair ties instead.

Once we filled out a form, we were given a dressing gown and a towel, then being shown to this dressing room, which reminded me of Mean Girls and how they wear pink on Wednesdays. It was such a colourful room and looked absolutely gorgeous. After getting into our dressing gown and slippers, we were each taken off to a room to have our aromatherapy massage.

I have never had a professional massage before and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The lovely lady who massaged me was Sarah and she made sure that I was comfortable with everything she was going to do. She first worked on m upper back and neck, then moving down to my lower back, legs and finished off with a massage on the face and scalp. it was the most relaxed I have ever been in a long time. Since I get a lot of tension in my upper back, it felt so amazing to feel all the tension go away during the massage and I almost fell asleep at one point because I was so relaxed.

Once my massage was done, I met back up with the girls and we used the facilities that were available to us, which included the saunas and the jacuzzi. We all came out of the saunas dripping with sweat and there were so many different types to try. My favourite was the herbal sauna, since I’m falling in love with herbal things at the moment. I came out feeling so refreshed, ignoring all the sweat on me. Something we also tried out was a cold room where the room temperature was 10 degrees and there was a bowl of ice you could use. It felt very lovely to go into the room and cool off after hopping through all the saunas. The pool area was also very pleasant and had different jets of water operating every couple of minutes. There was a bubbly one which me and the girls all sat next to, which we enjoyed very much.

I absolutely loved my afternoon at The Well Spa and I am typing this right now wishing I could be back there having my massage. I felt so welcomed and very relaxed when I left. If you’re ever going to Bluestone in the future and you need to feel pampered and unwind from all of life’s stresses, you have to try out The Well Spa. It will be a day that you’ll remember for a very long time.

Thanks you for sharing. I just wonder if this spa is common for men and women? And one more thing, if this spa is loyal to naturism? I attended such one http://wellcum.at/en/ in Austria and I could feel fully relaxed without clothes.

Thanks for reading! I found that there were more women in the spa than men, and I didn't really get a chance to ask about naturism while I was there. I'm sure they wouldn't mind though! xxxx
