So, Week Three of NaNoWriMo has been and gone, and my progress has been pretty good!
There seems to be a pattern of having a day where I don’t write very little on one day, then make up for it the next. I didn’t do it too much this week though; I made sure to keep on top of my word count. As there are now only 7 days left (eep!), I want to make sure I step up my game in the next few days.
My stats for 2014.
Last night, I was looking at my stats when I took part back in 2014, and it was around about this time, that I really went for it in terms of word count. It shot up straight over par, and I finished the challenge with two days to spare. I got a burst of determination from looking at that and have decided to try and beat that target.
I haven’t done any writing today, but when i get home, it will be all systems go. I will be glued to my iMac, typing away. it also helps that I’m at the very exciting part of my story; the climatic finale.
speaking of the actual story itself, I found myself getting frustrated with my writing because I felt like my story was going to end too early. With that in mind, I built up the majority of my word count going back to prior scenes and fleshing them out a lot more. This has made things a lot easier for me to work with now. Tonight, however, it will be completely focused on the ending in its entirety and I’m hoping I could possibly break the 40,000 word mark, make sure you follow me on Twitter to find out if I do!
How is NaNoWriMo going for you?
