I’ve been so excited to write this post, as today is finally the day we say goodbye to 2016. After the year we’ve had, I’m sure that many of us will be happy to see it finally gone, including myself. As we are fast approaching 2017, I’ve decided to set myself a couple of goals to work on during the year. They won’t be as many as last year’s, but I am filled with confidence that I can achieve them.
#1. Get back down to 8 stone.
I swear, this has been my resolution for the past few years now. But after finally making some weight loss progress thanks to Slimming World, I am absolutely certain that I will get back to my dream weight. My mind could possibly change though – I may find that I look like a twig when I actually get to 8 stone, or I may get to 9 and be happy. For now, I’m aiming for 8, and as of writing this post, I have already lost 7lbs so far. Make sure you keep an eye on my Slimming World series so you can see my progress!
#2. Come off Citalopram completely.
I actually tried to do this back in September, but due to going through some pretty stressful life changes, I am back on it for the time being. Being on Citalopram has helped my panic attacks so much and after nearly two years, I feel that soon I will be ready to come off the medication completely. I am on a lower dosage that I was at the moment and once my life isn’t as stressful and hectic, I’m going to attempt to come off it for good.
#3. Keep up my Dermatillomania recovery.
The original resolution was titled “Beat My Dermatillomania”, but I still feel like I’m quite a while away from that point yet. I have however, made some amazing progress that I didn’t think would be possible with my fingers, and I want to be able to keep up with that good progress. Hopefully soon, this will mean that I can actually recover properly if I keep up the good work. Make sure you keep up to date with my Skin Deep series documenting my recovery!
#4. Reach 5,000 subscribers on my main channel.
Every single time I set myself a subscriber target for my YouTube channel, I always seem to surpass it. I wanted 2,000 for 2016 and I ended up getting 3,000. So, I’ve decided to go for 5,000 but knowing my luck, I’ll probably surpass that too. As for my gaming channel, I don’t really have a target, that channel is just more for funsies, as my main channel is the real bread and butter in terms of growth.
#5. Keep a proper log of blog & youtube growth.
I have a spreadsheet from my lovely friend Neesha that I have been using to keep track of social media statistics, scheduling, income and invoices. However, I only properly started using it back in July. I have a spreadsheet ready for 2017 and I want to make sure I keep on top of the spreadsheet so I can see exactly how much growth I will have over the year. It will also come in handy when I need to refer to anything.
What are some of your goals for 2017?
