A few days ago, I got the amazing opportunity to attend the first welsh bloggers event hosted by Spectrum Collections. Their makeup brushes are on everybody’s minds thanks to their beautiful designs & their brushes being vegan/cruetly free. Having only discovered recently that they are a welsh brand (half an hour down the road from me in Barry no less!), I was so excited to see what they had in store and get up close with their new brush kits.
The venue of choice was the Tramshed Tech, which was decked out in true mermaid and floral fashion. The brand new Marbleous brushes were on show and they are the most beautiful brushes I’ve ever seen. They also had other brands there, including Candy Kittens, Pitch n Palace, Dirty Martini, Nails Inc & Miligl Cardiff, who provided a vegan buffet for the evening. Pitch n Palace even brought along Sebastian, a blue deer who I just had to get a photo with.
The evening consisted of getting to see a makeup masterclass, which was broadcast live on the Spectrum Collections Facebook & Instagram (You can watch it back on their Facebook page!). During this masterclass, we got an look at the new Marbleous brushes and how each one is used on the face. The founders of Spectrum Collections, Sophie & Hannah Pyer, also took questions from us & the live crowds online, chatting about their beginnings in a garage & the exciting plans they had in store for the future. The company prides themselves on being both cruelty free & vegan, and only used makeup that was cruelty free and vegan during the masterclass, something which I greatly admired them for.
Once the masterclass was over, we got treated to cocktails by Dirty Martini, which I unfortunately couldn’t sample as I was driving! But they looked and smelt amazing. I ended up eating lots of sweets from Candy Kittens to compensate instead, and their Blueberry sweets were absolutely incredible.
I had such an amazing time at the event getting to know this brand. Knowing that they are based in Wales makes me love them even more, and I really admire Sophie & Hannah for being a brilliant example of hard work paying off. I’ve always admired the Spectrum Collections brushes from afar, and now that I’ve gotten a taste of what they’re like, there will be no going back.
As well as the amazing event, I was very kindly given a goody bag from the event, with all the little bits and bobs you see above (apart from a gingerbread cookie that I ate). If you’d like me to do a separate blog post chatting about what I got in this bag, please let me know!
I’d like to extend my biggest thanks to Spectrum Collections for inviting me along to their event. They did a fantastic job along with the other brands that attended. It’s safe to say that I am well and truly on board with the world’s most instagrammable brushes.
Have you tried any of the Spectrum Collections brushes?
