All products from the Spa of the World™ range from The Body Shop ® were kindly gifted to me as PR samples.
Most of you know that The Body Shop ®* is hands down my favourite brand in the world. Their products and ethics are second to none and have had me a fan for many years. Their new range, Spa of the World™*, dives into a luxurious product line that brings the wonders of the spa directly into your home. I was lucky enough to sample some of the products in their new range and having recently had my bathroom decorated, I can finally relax and unwind with some ultimate ‘me’ time.
Having a bath is something I never used to enjoy; I much preferred the quick and convenient shower when I needed to wash. Over the years, I have begun to warm (if you’ll excuse the pun) to a nice hot bath as a sure fire way to give me some much needed pamper time. Now that my bathroom finally looks how I want it to, I’ll be showing you some of the products that I use for when I have a relaxing bath.
First, I begin with running the bath itself. While I wait, I used my Piñita Colada Shower Gel, which I got as part of the Piñita Colada Gift Set* to get some nice bubbles going. Normally I’d turn to a Lush Bubble Bar, but my Lush supply is currently running low, and I get just as many bubbles when using shower gel.
When the bath is almost full, I put my hair back and grab a face mask to pop on my face with my facial mask brush*. Depending on what my skin is like, I’ll alternate between The Body Shop ® Himalayan Charcoal Mask* or Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty. As my skin’s going through a very tough time, I’m turning to the Mask of Magaminty to help clear my skin up. I apply this on my face where I feel I need it.
Once the bath has cooled down enough for me to get in it, I immediately wet my hair and chuck on a hair mask. My favourite one right now is this Argan Oil Hair Mask which I’ve been using for years. It makes my hair feel so soft and gives it the nourishment it needs.
Now for the relaxing part…in comes Spa of the World™ to make this bath incredible. For this bath, I was very kindly gifted some brand new products being introduced to the range, which include the French Grape Seed Scrub*, the Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream*, the Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil* & the Indian Turtle Massager*. What I absolutely adore about these new products are that they are 100% vegan and help to nourish your skin while toning it at the same time, something I am a big fan of after loosing a stone.
Using my hands, I go in with the French Grape Seed Scrub to give my body a proper scrubbing. As I’ve got quite a few insect bites at the moment, it was great being able to scrub my arms and seeing the dead skin come off instantly. I love the smell of this as well and happily massaged it into my skin. The rest of the bath was then spent relaxing with a candle and being able to completely let go of all the stresses I’ve been under recently. As for the other products in the range, I chose to use them after my bath to further extend the spa ritual.
After relaxing in the bubbles for goodness knows how long, I rinsed everything off and hopped out, drying myself off with a towel. I then followed up my routine by using the Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream, which is enriched with caffeine to help tighten the skin. I adore the smell of this, especially as it’s not completely overpowered by coffee like I originally expected. This made my skin feel so effortlessly soft and I could definitely see a slight difference in firmness after just one use. I also went in with my Firming Oil & Indian Turtle Massager to really get me calm and get all the stress knots out. I also used the Turtle Massager in the bath too to help stimulate my skin and mainly because it felt really nice on my skin and was fun to use.
These steps and products allow me to unwind and give myself a very relaxing evening in when it’s necessary. As certain aspects of my life have become rather stressful at the moment, I find myself needing these days more than ever. For me, nothing beats the luxuries of a nice warm bath with some wonderful products. I’d like to extend my thanks to The Body Shop ® for sending me some of their new products from the Spa of the World™ range! I seriously have to pinch myself at the fact I get to collaborate with my favourite brand in the entire world.
