So, if any of you haven’t been keeping up to date, I’m releasing a book, The Ascension of Melanie Winters this year! If you’re a little bit confused and if this is the first you’re hearing of it on my blog, it’s because I have an official writing website where you can find out everything about my book there. I wanted to share it on my blog as well since it’s a pretty big achievement I’ve done.
Here’s the blurb of the book…
Melanie Winters is struggling with university life just as much as everyone else. Exams, lectures, the power to move things with her mind, the usual worries. After a freak accident that she caused, Melanie is forced to move to the Welsh countryside with her mother to start again. But when strange events begin to occur with her arrival, Melanie begins to realise she, and her powers she fought so hard to keep secret, might be part of something sinister.
I’ve had this idea for years and it wasn’t until last year that I finally decided I was going to officially write and self-publish it. Ascension will be releasing on the 19th February 2018, so it will literally be weeks away! But…if you subscribe to my official writing newsletter, you’ll get the chance to purchase the book from the 16th February! And that’s not all…this isn’t just an e-book you can download on your kindle…
You can get a paperback copy too! Look at how gorgeous it is. I cried a shit ton when I opened this. Seriously, snotty tears and all.
I’m currently in the process of getting everything I need together for the launch next month, which includes a review request for any book bloggers around! If you want more information about that, you can view the post on my writing website here or you can email me directly if you wish.
I hope that if you do get around to picking up a copy when it releases, you enjoy what I’ve written and give me some useful feedback. I’m not going to go and sob if you don’t like the book; in fact, I’d love to hear from you if you didn’t! As this is my first novel, getting critiques on my work is crucial to me and would help me improve massively. I would really appreciate it if you would consider leaving me a review on Amazon, Goodreads or Lulu when it releases – it helps me out so much.
I want to take a quick moment to say a huge thank you to everybody who has supported me through this self-publishing process; here’s to this book of mine being hopefully the first of many!
